04/26/10 - Blog Update

I haven't been posting for a while because I prioritized other "tasks," but I should get back to it this week. I will start by answering recent comments (within the past few weeks), so if you left one I should reply to it soon! Time limits stress me out (if they don't get to you, I think you may be unique), so that's why I tend not to specify them... :)

Mark,
Your blog is great! I'm a recently diagnosed GBM 4 patient, my tumor is in my right frontal lobe. I had surgery, and am halfway through 33 radiation treatments along with Temodor.
Your slideshow of radiation is great. I have not been able to see how it works since I'm always on the table in the mask, so this is pretty cool.
It's also fabulous to see someone who is several years out post-diagnosis, I look for those survivor stories.
You are doing a great service to the brain tumor community by keeping this blog. I know it must be a lot of work, but for people like me, it shows that there are people who manage to get much more time than the "median survival rate."
I pray that you will continue to have good results from your treatments.

....isn't that the greatest comment yet!!!!! (above) Mark, it is wonderful that all your hard work in postings your ordeal is soooooo appreciated by others out there. If I'm not mistaken, this is one of several posts of patients or family of patients who are dealing with similar or the same diagnosis as yours.... isn't it super that something is so good out of something not so good!

Patiently waiting to your updated posts...know you're compiling all your information and will post when you're up to it.

Love you guys....take care and try to come see us when you are up to it.

Valerie,

Thanks for your comments! I'm glad I could provide some help. Yes, my first radiation treatment plan was face-down. There was a beach scene on the ceiling, but I didn't realize it for weeks... I took a movie of my last radiation treatment, but I have not posted yet. Check back when you can. I hope the best for you!

Mary,

Thanks! Yes, I greatly appreciate any feedback from patients or their families (or anyone else, for that matter).

I do not like to delay posts, but it will undoubtedly happen... I have to play catch-up, or skip certain posts, :(
